As the weather forecast promises a little less rain today, we use the day for a hike through a breathtaking gorge. Due to the bad weather, we are almost the only hikers. The subtropical vegetation, rivers, streams and countless waterfalls allow us to experience a breathtakingly beautiful natural landscape. Coffins hang from some of the steep rock faces. This type of burial began during the Han dynasty, from 206 BC to 220 AD. The gorge dwellers of the Qiang people buried their dead in this elaborate way to make their way to heaven easier…
