First news about our missing runaways

We use today’s very warm day to work our way through the huge mountain of equipment and first organize everything into different areas, such as ropes and camel equipment, food, medicine and veterinary medicine, technology, and so on. The hours fly by quickly and we are happy to be able to work here completely undisturbed. If it weren’t for the burden of whether our camels are still on the huge farm area or not, it would be a carefree, happy time. In the evening I call Luke to ask him if he knows where our animals are. The Head Stockman replies, “Yes mate, they’re in a big stockade called the Rockys, about 70 kilometers from here.” I sit down on the pleasantly cool living room floor in relief. “I’ll be happy to help you look for them. I’ll have some time tomorrow afternoon and we can go out if you want,” Luke continues his conversation. “Of course we do. We’re really looking forward to it,’ I reply, laughing with relief.
