Cooroorah-Camp – 07.01.2003 – 08.01.2003

The homestead of Cooroorah is situated on a beautiful, natural little lake, which pelicans and many other birds have chosen as their home. Large lawns and tall trees form a beautiful park around the old farmhouse, which was built at the beginning of the last century. A wooden terrace, on which comfortable chairs invite you to relax, surrounds the old, magnificent house. Tropical flowers grow everywhere and transport us to a lush, green dream world that we only remember from our memories. There is no doubt that we are in the center of a man-made paradise. But Rona has also developed her interior design talent in the house. Colorful, very tasteful furnishings match the old wooden floors. Tanja and I are thrilled and could imagine living here without batting an eyelid.

What’s more, Rona and Ian prove to be very amiable and excellent hosts. Every evening we dine at a different table, on a different terrace and enjoy the housewife’s cooking skills. We spend fun evenings with invited friends who are very interested in our experiences and expedition life.
