Why we at AKU support Tanja and Denis Katzer
“AKU is a specialist for hiking and trekking shoes. We only use selected and sustainably compatible raw materials in order to protect the environment and leave our world clean for our children. Especially in the fragile ecosystems of mountains and mountain landscapes, in the Alps in particular and worldwide in general, it is important to treat nature and its treasures with care. The name AKU comes from the Easter Islands. AKU is a deity who loves the earth and protects it. The Italian mountain boot manufacturer from Montebelluna behaves in exactly the same way. We support large-scale nature projects – both nationally and internationally. Because Tanja and Denis are helping to spread this idea further into the world, we are delighted to be part of the long tour.”
