DVD description:
7,000 km on foot and with camels through the outback
Longest camel expedition in Australian history
WORLD RECORD!
Extreme travelers Tanja & Denis Katzer traversed the endless expanses of the Australian outback for four years. 7,000 kilometers on foot and with their own camels through the Littel Sandy, Great Sandy, Gibson, Tanami and Simpson Deserts. They crossed the continent from south to north and from the west to the east coast. Tanja and Denis report how they are threatened by the biggest bushfires in North West Australian history. They are fighting for their lives in the worst floods in 200 years. Poisonous plants, snakes, wild camel bulls, 68°C heat and a century-long drought are another part of the never-ending challenges. Experience pure nature, meet Aborigines and get in touch with Mother Earth. It is a bold undertaking, the outcome of which is uncertain from the outset. An adventure of superlatives, a journey into the still unknown interior of a mystical and mysterious country.
The image and film material on this DVD is a selection of 15,000 slides and 60 hours of film.
