We are impressed by the naturalness of Russian hospitality. The togetherness and the many offers of help: be it Katja, who is always available by phone for translations in complicated situations. Be it Anja’s father Alexander, who is keen to show us around the city, or Luba and Andrej, who make their house available to us as a matter of course. Offers for Russian sauna, carpooling, embroidered socks from Mama Sascha, a crocheted scarf from Anja. Some of the situations happen spontaneously, we are packed into the car and driven somewhere, like Jenya’s father who showed us a lot of things in Krasnoyarsk.
