The stay at Gerda Gassner’s camel riding school remains interesting. Every day there is something new to see or new interesting people to meet. The writing work is often interrupted by the many conversations, the rides into the mountains and visits to the sights. We have to motivate ourselves to set off again, as we are on our way to Burma by bike. It can be all too easy to get stuck in beautiful places with lovely people and lose sight of your actual destination. Last night I archived, numbered and labeled the 400 pictures we took here. I worked on the recordings until 10 p.m. to be able to send the new update into the sky with our satellite phone. We have to hurry. Our personal plan is to continue tomorrow. We might reach Vienna on Friday and be in Hungary next week. We are looking forward to more adventures and the last few weeks and months have shown us that these also exist in Western Europe. But before we get into the saddles we will celebrate our farewell this evening and I will be the godfather of the one-year-old camel Marselle. Gerda wants to give him a different name. Tanja suggested Bochri. Bochri was one of our brave camels on our crossing of the Taklamakan, the desert of death in western China.

We look forward to your comments!
