Camp day

Peters Paddock-Camp — 2000-07-08

After breakfast Jo and Tanja drive out to the farmhouse straight away to take a shower. I use my time at the camp to make a few small repairs. Around 12:00 midday, Peter and Jason bring the repaired frame back to the camp. Jason is a welding specialist and works occasionally for Peter. We are lucky that he is at the farm right now, helping Peter with the sheep and fences. We remain huddled under my bush office this evening due to the heavy rain, eating baked potatoes and tinned fish. At 8:00 p.m. we are already crawling back into our clammy tent and trying to find some sleep in the damp sleeping bags. I think constantly about our departure tomorrow and can find no peace.
