First Impressions

Perth — 1999-07-23

Nearly in a straight line, the Great Eastern Highway takes us east 600 kilometers to a town of gold diggers – in West-Australia. In the beginning we drive through gigantic national forests that later turn into huge, fruitful pasture. We admire the lush green corn fields, blowing in the wind as far as the eye can see. Than pastures in gigantic dimensions emerge. The vegetation is impressive and later changes into extensive bush land.
The late afternoon sun paints the bushland golden. Inviting and hospitable though it looks, it still seems somehow ominous in its sheer endlessness.
