Our date of departure is still not fixed

It is now 2 p.m. and Petro bids us farewell before setting off on his drive of a few hundred kilometres north.   ‘Maybe I’ll bump into you on the way to Paynes Find’ he says.   We vigerously shake hands and thank him for his enormous assistance. It is morning before we hear from Tom.   Our date of departure is still not fixed and we learn that Jo is having difficulties with her sewing machine.   They want to meet with us this weekend to discuss what will happen next.   As so often we remain totally in the dark as to the future of the expedition.
